Mahalo for visiting the Lahainaluna High School Foundation website! There are many exciting things going on with the Foundation, so please continue to visit our website for updates.
The long awaited construction of Phase II of the Foundation's Stadium Project has been completed, the Certificates of Occupancy have been issued, and the Department of Education has issued the school Beneficial Occupancy in advance of the formal transfer of this magnificent facility to the D.O.E.
The first night game in the schools' history was held on August 8, 2016, a pre-season contest against the Big Island's Keeau High School Cougars. The Lahainaluna Lunas dominated their inaugural night game 65-6. Two weeks later, on August 22, the home-town fans were able to enjoy their new stadium again with a contest against Kamehameha, followed by the Baldwin game on the 29th. The first-ever home-field homecoming was held on September 12, to a capacity crowd.
A formal dedication ceremony was held prior to the homecoming game. Dignitaries included Sen. Roz Baker, Rep. Angus McKelvey, Mayor Arakawa's representative, Zeke Kalua, Principals Joanne Dennis (LHS), Stacy Bookland (L.I.S.), Steve Franz (King Kamehameha III) and Lynn Ko'ohalahala (Princess Nahi'ena'ena) Representing the Foundation Board were Mark Tillman, Nancy Cross, Walter Vierra, Steven Raymond.
Recognizing that there will come a day when our Hellas Matrix athletic field and synthetic track will need replacing, the Foundation will continue to offer brick pavers and bleacher sponsorships. The brick paver order from is available on this website and if you are donating for a bleacher sponsorship, just indicate which class it is for in the donation form comment box.

The Lahainaluna High School Foundation presented the 3rd Annual Legends of Lahainaluna Awards, on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the historic Pioneer Inn. The awards were created to honor alumni, staff, community members and businesses who have significantly contributed to Lahainaluna, or in the case of alumni, the community in which they live. The winners will be recognized from three categories, Individual, Posthumous, & Business or Organization.
This year's honorees were Hellas Construction in the Business Category, Mary J. Bloder was honored posthumously, and Reverend Earl Kukahiko was the honoree in the Individual Category.
Last year’s winners included The Makana Aloha Foundation in the Business/Organization category, Alice K.K. Banham (1896-1956) for the Posthumous category, and Andrew Kutsunai & Sue Cooley were both chosen to receive the Individual award.
This year's event was sold out and event attendees enjoyed a light bpupus, a buffet dinner & dessert, hosted bar, entertainment, and awards ceremony.
